The article analyzes application of a consultative-diagnostic system for assessing results of the complex treatment of 52 patients with hypertensive disease of type II. This treatment included magnet-laser therapy combined with dry carbon dioxide baths. While analyzing the obtained results the researchers have proven that the prescribed therapy reliably decreases heart rate and blood pressure (p < 0.05) in studied patients. They could also see a positive dynamics at cardiointervalography: tension index and RMSSD. All these indicate normalizing processes which take place in the vegetative chain of the nervous system. The obtained positive results were confirmed clinically and by laboratory findings what means that the prescribed treatment was effective. Besides, testing programme «SAN» for differential self-estimation showed positive psychological indexes in studied patients as well. Results obtained during the discussed study have confirmed a high informative value of the techniques which are included in the APC pilot model for assessing the effectiveness of rehabilitation programmes.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of innovative combinations of low-level laser therapy (LILT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) for treating acne vulgaris with long-term results. Place: Department of Skin Diseases and Cosmetology, Pirogov’s Medical University in Moscow. Materials and study design: 276 patients with various forms acne vulgaris (AV) aged 16-44 were taken into the study. The majority of them (126; 45.6%) had severe AV manifestations and disease duration from 1 to 5 years (157; 56.9%). All patients were subdivided into two groups: I - control (n-39) who were treated traditionally and II - main (n-237) who were treated with the authors’ combined technique: LILT + PDT. Long-term follow-up catamnesis was analyzed in 182 patients (1 year), in 154 (2-3 years) and in 124 (4-5 years). Methods: syndromological monitoring, kinetics of skin physiological parameters, statistical analysis. Results and conclusions: The syndromological monitoring in the main group showed that clinical remission was seen in 96.6% of patients; considerable improvement - in 3.4% what is 3.5-4 folds higher (р < 0.01) that similar parameters in the control group. The most demonstrative difference (p < 0.01) was in the number of AV recurrences (cutaneous manifestations and comorbidities) at the near (1-2 years) and remote (3-5 years) catamnestic monitoring. Their frequency (depended on the disease severity) in the main group was 0.45% and 0.62%, while in the controls - 42.5% and 57.6%. In 3-5 years the mentioned recurrences in the main group were equal to 2.5% and 6.7%, while in the controls - 49.7% and 62.9%. Skin physiology under various therapeutic approaches also indicates that the innovative technique developed by us gives strikingly different and highly reliable (p < 0.01) advantages.

Introduction. Laser therapy is one of well-know techniques for treating atopic dermatitis; however, increasing its effectiveness is still an actual task. The aim of the present work was to assess effectiveness of intravenous laser blood irradiation with low-intensive laser light (wavelength 365nm (LUFOK) and 525 nm (green light) for treating patients with atopic dermatitis. Materials and methods. 37 patients with atopic dermatitis (10 women and 27 men) aged 18-56 (average age 36.2) with disease duration from 17 till 54 years were included into the study. Patients from the studied group were prescribed treatment which included laser therapy in a form of an original technique developed by the researchers with therapeutic laser device (Lazmik-VLOK (registration No RZN 2014/1410 dated 06.02.2014) having laser emitting heads KL-VLOK-365-2 (for LUFOK®) and KL-VLOK525-2 for intravenous laser blood irradiation. Disposable sterile light guides KIVL-01 developed by technical standards TU 9444-005-72085060-2008 and manufactured at the research center «Matrix» (Moscow RUSSIA) were used. Conclusion. As it has been shown, combined intravenous laser blood irradiation with low-intensive laser therapy (LILLT) technique (wavelength 365 nm (VLOK-365 or LUFOK®) and LILLT with wavelength 525 nm (green spectrum, VLOK-525)) every other day in the complex treatment of patients with atopic dermatitis promote a complete regression of all acute inflammatory manifestations (erythemas, papules, scaling, excoriations) in 87.5% of patients with moderate-severe course of the disease (average index SCORAD - 57.5 ± 4.0) and decrease the average index SCORAD (up 21.3 ± 4.0) by 3.4 times in patients with a severe course (original value - 7.8 ± 3.0) with an overall positive trend.

Objective. To study the effectiveness of laser acupuncture in patients with exertional angina pectoris, namely, on biopotentials and conductivity of biologically active points, on levels of catecholamine, serotonin, histamine and heparin in blood cells as well as on the clinical picture. Materials and methods. This research work was done in Chuvash State University (Cheboksary, Russia). 348 patients with angina pectoris were included into the study: main group with 251 patients who had laser acupuncture in addition to medicamentous therapy; control group with 97 patients who received only medicamentous therapy. Patients from the main group were treated with laser beam which irradiated their biologically active points - «meridians» of the heart and the pericardium. For this irradiation laser therapeutic device ULF-01 was used (wavelength 630 μm, output power density 10 mW/cm2, beam diameter 1 mm). Results. The majority of patients with exertional angina pectoris have impaired biorhythms, conductivity and biopotentials of biologically active points , as well as impaired levels of catecholamines, serotonin, histamine and heparin in blood cells. Laser reflexology has restored biological rhythms in most patients from the main group with the following clinical improvement.

Vascular tumors of the skin and oral cavity often cause cosmetic defects and bleeding. Their removal is a complex problem. The aim of our study is a comparative evaluation of results of surgical treatment of patients with vascular tumors using laser light and cryosurgery. We analysed results of treatment and follow-up of 155 patients with vascular tumors of different location. Surgical treatment with carbon dioxide laser beam at wavelength 1.064 nm was done for 73 patients with hemangiomas. Sequential combined laser removal at wavelength 970 nm and 1.064 nm was used in 49 patients. The method of local cryoablation was used in 33 patients. Laser removal had significant advantages in patients with vascular tumors in comparison to local cryoablation. Laser technology can improve results of surgical treatment and rehabilitation of patients with vascular tumors of different locations.

The endogenous intoxication syndrome is a predictor of polyorganic and polysystemic failure. Experimental work has been done to study the antiradical effect of low-intensity laser irradiation in peritoneal endotoxicosis in mongrel dogs. Intravascular laser blood irradiation (wavelength 635 nm) with radiation power output 2 mW and exposure time 15 min. was used in the experimental group in addition to standard therapy. Acute experimental peritonitis resulted in a significant increase of hydrophilic and hydrophobic toxins in blood plasma of experimental animals. Standard infusions and antibiotic therapy did not normalize biochemical parameters in blood plasma. Laser therapy significantly reduced endotoxemia severity. A significant restructure of the lipid and phospholipid spectrum in cerebral membranes during peritonitis was noted. A significant increase of detergent forms of lipids was also recorded what indicates degradation of biological membranes. Low-level laser blood irradiation reduced the intensity of membrane destruction and inhibited phospholipase A2 activity in cerebral tissue comparing to the control group. The obtained results demonstrate that laser therapy decreases intoxication levels in blood plasma and reduces the intensity of lipid peroxidation in brain tissue. Thus, we can state that such laser application may be perspective for cerebroprotective purpose in peritoneal endointoxication.

The article presents results obtained in 116 patients with exacerbation of persistent bronchial asthma of moderate type after using conventional basic therapy and its combination with optical radiation of blue and red light. Assessment of treatment effectiveness was done on analyzing changes in blood rheology indexes, being one of the chains in disease pathogenesis, as well as in clinical picture. It has been established that in patients who were treated with blue and red light one could see marked corrections of hemorheologic disorders and improved clinical picture in comparison with controls who had only conventional treatment. Effects of optical radiation of blue and red light at clinical course of bronchial asthma are regarded as positive, but with different mechanisms of action at the organism.

The article analyzes effectiveness of laser vaporization for treating pain syndrome caused by lumbar disc herniation. 149 patients (mean age 40) were treated in the study. Prevailing neurological symptoms were lumboischialgia (42.2%, 67 persons) and lumbalgia (41.7%, 62 persons). Radicular pain syndromes (radiculopathy, radiculoneuritis) were detected in 20 patients (13.1%). 86 persons (57.4%) had median and paramedian hernias (4-8 mm disc bulging), 36 patients (24.3%) had disc protrusion and 27 (18.3%) had posterolateral herniation (4-7 mm disc bulging). Satisfactory and good results of treatment after laser vaporization were achieved in 112 cases (75.5%) with hernia bulging up to 6-8 mm of median localization. Pain syndrome in these patients became 2-5 less by VAS scale as compared to their preoperative period. There were 21 unsatisfactory outcomes (13.9%) in patients with posterolateral and foraminal hernias larger than 5 mm and with disease duration more than 6 months.

The obtained results show functional activity of neutrophils isolated from the peripheral blood of healthy donors. In the experimental model, the authors studied degranulation abilities of cells. They noted an increase in lysosomal degranulation under low-intensity laser irradiation (LILI). The activity of one of key oxidase I-type enzymes which restores molecular oxygen-NADPH oxidase was studied. In the experiment, it has been found out that LILI with wavelength 635 nm, continuous mode, power density 0.12 mW/cm2 stimulates NADPH-oxidase activity; optimal exposure time is 90-100 sec (1.5 min). These findings should be taken into account while applying laser therapy techniques.

A comparative study of morphological and functional changes in laser-destructed foci in the liver, kidneys and spleen was performed in Chelyabinsk State Institute of Laser Surgery. High-level continuous laser radiation was used. Contact laser destruction of the liver, kidneys, spleen was done from the surface of the organ in the contact mode in 20 rats. Radiation was continuous with wavelength 0.97 μm, power 2 W, exposure time 10 sec. Result were assessed in one hour and one day after. Histological, morphometric and statistical methods were used for this. Destructed area was measured; the number of mast cells was counted (total, intact - I, degranulated - D). The index of degranulation (ID) was determined as: ID = D / (D + I). It was found out that the foci destructed by laser light were cup-shaped in all investigated organs; they had zonal structure and comparable values of the total width. Functional activity of mast cells in lesions was increased in the liver and kidneys; there was also an increased number of mast cells and increased level of degranulation, what demonstrated a high rate of tissue reparation. In case of spleen resection, there was no such effects. Mast cells are likely not to play a leading role in this organ reparation.
