Abstract
A technique for treating cerebral malignant tumors using laser photodynamic therapy (PDT) is briefly described by the authors. The described technique includes a direct photosensitizer’s injection into a bed of removed tumours and its further postoperative irradiation. The authors discuss the problem of partial loss of laser light on its way to target tissues. This loss is caused by light dispersion and absorption in protein and blood additional particles which are present in the liquid accumulating in the bed of the resected tumor. In experiment, there have been analyzed relations between the lost light power and concentrations of protein and erythrocytes in the cerebrospinal fluid and in the cystic tumor liquid. The authors propose techniques for analytical and graphic estimation of light power corrections which could compensate light losses.

Abstract
43 patients suffering of various forms of chronic tonsillitis (CT) were treated with a combined antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (CA PDT). Microbiological studies performed before on the culture taken from the tonsil mucous of the studied patients revealed a high level of film formation activity. During the experimental work the researchers studied effects of enzymes (trypsin, lidasa, ribonuclease) at matured bacterial biofilms which consisted of monocultures and their associations. Results of the experimental work and the obtained microbiological findings have shown that lidasa turned to be the most effective enzyme. So, this enzyme was chosen for application in clinical practice. All patients were divided into three groups: patients from Group 1 (n = 13) received a conventional conservative therapy (lavage of tonsil lacunas, antibiotic therapy, physiotherapy, etc.); patients from Group 2 (n = 16) had CA PDT with preliminary treatment of tonsils with lidasa; patients from Group 3 (n = 14) also had CA PDT with preliminary treatment of tonsils with lidasa plus subsequent probiotic therapy. This study has shown that the combination of enzymes, probiotics and CA PDT increases the effectiveness of treatment and prolongs remission without any adverse and unwanted allergic reactions.

Abstract
Aim. This work is devoted to potentiative possibilities of low-intensive laser therapy and intravenous laser blood irradiation (LILT-ILBI) if they are added to traditional approaches of pharmacorrection, prophylactics of hypertesive states and coagulologic disorders in the perioperative period in old and elderly patients. Materials and methods. Anaesthesiological aspects of LILT-ILBI application in general surgery in patient of old and elderly age were considered reasonable by us because our earlier trials had demonstrated LILT polyvalent effects. A comparative assessment of LILT-ILBI effectiveness with modern semiconductor generators of laser light (X = 632,8 нм) and their combination with traditional pharmacologic techniques and traditional care in the perioperative period has been performed. Results. The studies performed allowed the authors to develop a protocol of potentiated care of patients at all peiroperative stages (preparation, surgery and postoperative care). The authors have also developed recommendations for practical application of LILT-ILBI technique in patients of old and elderly age.

Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of innovative combinations of low-intensive laser light (LILT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) for treating acne vulgaris (AV). Materials and study design: 276 patients with various acne forms aged 16-44; the majority of them (n = 126, 45.6%) had a severe form and disease duration from 1 to 5 years (n = 157, 56.9%). The patients were subdivided into two groups: Group I - controls (n = 39); Group II (main) in which patients were treated traditionally and, in addition, combination of LILT + PDT applied by the authors’ technique. Methods of research: syndromological monitoring and statistical analyses. Results and conclusions: There was a significant improvement of objective indicators, up to the complete elimination of manifestations depending on AV form and severity: clinical remission and considerable improvement in 85.1-96.6% (n = 240 out of 276, p < 0.01). In the main group the improvement was seen in 5.6-15.2% (n = 36, p < 0.01) what exceeds the corresponding figures in the control group by 3.5-4 folds (p < 0.01). There were no any side-effects nor any negative consequences in contrast to the controls who had several pharmaco-resistance cases (depending on therapy duration in 32.6-74.3%), allergization (the same dependence - in 41.5-71.7%), worsening of dermal skin processes (38.3-68.9%) and other known complications developing after traditional therapy in patients with AV (up to 46.1%).

Abstract
Clinical and physiological results of treating patients with congenital (n = 3) and acquired (n = 5) leg bone defects with magnet laser therapy are presented in the article. The course of magnet laser therapy was performed with «MITS-FOTON-03», a laser device generating pulsed radiation with 0.89-цт wavelength (IR zone), mean output power per pulse - 6 W. A magnetic tip with the induction up to 100 mT was used. The described therapy technique included infrared laser irradiation of three points in the regenerated bone projection at the frequency 80 Hz, as well as the irradiation of one point in the projection of popliteal vessels, exposure - two min. each. Number of sessions - 15, one session per day. The patients underwent complex physiological examination before and after laser therapy courses. A positive effect of magnet laser therapy was observed in patients with acquired disease due to the increase of parasympathetic activity, arteriolar vasodilatation, stimulating effects on angiogenesis and indirect intensification of reparative processes in bones and muscle tissues. No changes in peripheral hemodynamics, in the reparative activity of distraction regenerated bone and muscle functional characteristics were revealed in patients with congenital disease.

Abstract
Purpose: To study the effects of intravenous laser blood irradiation (ILBI) at the dynamics of melatonin, cortisol, indicator DAS 28 and at the quality of life of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Material and methods: 128 patients with rheumatoid arthritis aged 18-75 were taken into the study. 98 patients had a daily ILBI course with laser apparatus «Matrix-VLOK» (firm Matrix, Russia). Two emitting heads were used: KL-VLOK with wavelength 0.63 μm, light power at the lightguide tip 1.5-2.0 mW, exposure 15 min., and KL-VLOK-365 with wavelength 0.365 μm, light power at the lightguide tip 1.5-2.0 mW, exposure 5 min. in continuous mode. The two heads were used alternately every other day. ILBI course lasted for ten days with no days off. The studied parameters were measured before and after the treatment. Results: The obtained results have shown cortisol normalisation, melatonin decrease, less disease activity, better quality of life.

Abstract
Purpose: To study the effectiveness of intravenous laser blood irradiation (ILBI) with wavelength 405 nm in the complex postoperative treatment of patients with purulent peritonitis. Materials and methods: 113 patients with peritonitis and various degrees of endotoxemia were taken into this clinical study. Laser device «Matrix VLOK» with laser attachments «KL-VLOK-405» (power at lightguide tip 1.0 mWt, exposure time 10 min, course 4-7 sessions) was used in the study. Results: ILBI with wavelength 405 nm in the complex postoperative treatment of patients with purulent peritonitis is an effective technique which promotes the elimination of toxic substances out of patient’s organism, restores gastro-intestinal function, accelerates the correction of volemic and water-electrolyte disorders. It also reduces the incidence of complications and terms of hospitalization for patients with endotoxemia of degree I-II and increases the effectiveness of extracorporal detoxication in endotoxemia of degree III.

Abstract
Laser therapy is one of the known techniques for treating atopic dermatitis. However, increasing its effectiveness is still an actual task. The aim of the present study was to assess effectiveness of the technique for treating psoriatic patients with intravenous laser blood irradiation (VLOK-525) and topical irradiation with pulsed IR low-intensive laser light. Materials and methods. 42 patients with extended forms of psoriasis (30 men and 12 women) aged 35-60 (average 47 years) with disease duration from 5 to 20 years were included into the study. In the main group a complex of curative measures was added with laser therapy by the original approach with laser therapeutic device «Lasmik-VLOK» having two emitting heads : KL-VL0K-525-20 for intravenous laser blood irradiation (ILBI) and ML-635-40 for external application. Disposable sterile lightguides KIVL-01 manufactured by the firm «Matrix» (Russia) were used for ILBI. Conclusion. It has been found out that combined laser therapy of patients with moderate and severe forms of psoriasis (index PASI 40-50) including topical irradiation of psoriatic foci with pulsed low-intensive laser light (red spectrum, 635 ^m), power 40 W, pulse frequency up to 10,000 Hz and VLOK-525 allow to effectively eliminate inflammatory processes, to decrease erythema, infiltration and exfoliation. One can see a rapid narrowing of diseased skin.

Abstract
The express-method of «thick drop» (EMTD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been used for evaluating the efficacy of intravascular laser irradiation of blood (ILBI) in patients with duodenal bleedings. It has been shown that marked shifts in the ratio of discocytes - D (normal erythrocytes) and pathologic forms of erythrocytes - PFE take place in hemorrhage where the share of the last increases. ILBI leads to normalization of D/PFE ratio. Results of SEM and EMTD are comparable. EMTD has been demonstrated to be simple in application as well as to be available and objective method.
